Tank Building Process

Regardless of what type of tank you want, the best way to begin is generally a simple drawing of the tank you want built. This drawing does not have to be extraordinarily well-drawn. We just need the basic idea of the shape, the rough location and size of fittings, and any other special features required in your tank. From there we can get you a quote based on material, labor hours, fittings used, and also let you know estimated lead time.

Once the price is agreed upon, you will be asked to pay for the order and sign our tank agreement. From there, you will be provided with a CAD shop drawing. This is the most important step in the process. You will verify all dimensions, locations of fittings, size of fittings, and make sure we are going to build the exact tank you want. Through revisions and approval, we will come up with the final draft shop drawing that will be used to fabricate your custom tank.

All aluminum fuel tanks are formed to the size and shape desired, baffled as needed, welded inside and out where possible, and quality controlled every step of the way. Upon completion of welding, tanks are carefully pressure checked per standards set by the ABYC. Once we confirm that there are no leaks in your tank, cleanup and preperation to ship begin. Whether you are a local pickup, or a customer on the other side of the country, we always make it our top priority to provide the high quality tank you need, in a timely manner.
